TOURNAMENT FORMAT
- League Format: A 7-team league, with each team playing against all others twice.
- Match Duration: All matches consist of 46 minutes, divided into two halves of 23 minutes each.
- Semi-Finals: The top 4 teams from the league qualify for the semi-finals.
- Tie-Breaker: In case of a draw in knockout fixtures, a penalty shoot-out with 3 penalties per side will determine the winner. Sudden-death penalties follow if teams remain level after 3 penalties each.
- Semi-Finals and Final: The semi-finals and final will be held on the same day, with the venue and date to be confirmed.
- Ringers: Preauthorised players can fill in for other teams in case of player shortages during the league matches. Semi-finals only allow players from the team list; otherwise, teams must play with one player short.
- Inclusion of Ansar and Atfal: Teams can include Ansar and Atfal from their Qiadat if preauthosized by the Chairman or SEJ Secretary.
- Match Schedule: Matches will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays on 7-a-side pitches without cages, allowing for throw-ins and corners as per normal 11-a-side matches.
- Approved Venues: Matches will be held at Cranford Superdome, Southall London Tigers, and Slough Langley Academy. Players are required to wear shin pads (optional at own risk) and firm ground (FG) or astro turf (AG) boots – NO Metal Studs.
DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
- Any of the following may result in disqualification of the team(s) involved and/or sanctions for the involved player(s):
- Unauthorised Players: Players who do not reside in the represented Qiadat of the team.
- Unregistered Players: Players not listed on the submitted team sheets.
- Pitch Invasion: Non-playing individuals invading the pitch during altercations.
- Aggressive Behavior: Players showing aggression or intent to harm during a match.
- Delayed Kick-Off: Teams arriving late and causing delays in match start times.
General Rules
- Tournament Format: Matches will be played on a 7-a-side basis.
- Squad Size: Each team may have a squad of 12 preauthorised players per match with 'roll on - roll off' substitutions.
- Modified Rules: Normal 11-a-side rules apply, except for specific adjustments: no offside, no slide tackling, goalkeepers' back-pass law enforced, and no sliding to block shots/pass or to score.
- Throw-ins & Corners: Taken as per normal 11-a-side matches.
- Free Kicks: Opposing players must stand 7 yards away from any free kicks taken.
- Kick-Off: Each match begins with a coin toss to choose sides and kick-off. After each goal, the conceding team restarts with a kick-off.
- Minimum Players: Teams must start with a minimum of 5 players; failing to meet this requirement will result in a 3-0 win for the non-forfeiting team.
- Conduct: Foul language and aggression will be penalized with yellow and red cards, with associated fines and bans.
- Fine for Cardable Fouls: Accumulating two yellow card fouls in a game results in a £10 fine.
- Uniforms: Teams should have a kit; otherwise, bibs must be worn to distinguish team members.
- Referee's Decision: The referee's decision is final and must be respected by all players and team officials.
- Rule Amendments: The SEJ Department reserves the right to amend any of the above rules and regulations as deemed necessary.
